| Eulogy
for Mahatma Gandhi |
On January
30 1948, a disaffected Hindu assassinated Mahtma Gandhi,
Jawaharlal Nehru the first Priminister of independent India
made two moving speeches about the death and legacy of his
friend. The first was a radio adderess onteh same day; the
second was the eulogy at his funeral on 2nd Feb.
He has gone and all over India there is a feeling of having
been left and desolate and forlorn. All of us sense that
feeling and I don not know when we shall be able to get
rid of it. And yet together with that feeling three is also
----------- of proud thankfulness that it has been given
to us of this generation to be associated with this mighty
person. In ages to come, centuries and may be millennia
after us, people will think of this generation when this
man of god trod on earth, and will think of us who however
shall, could also follow his path and tread the holy ground
where his feet had been.
Let us be worthy of him. |

The biggest
problem India Youth faces, I felt, was lackl of clarity
of vision, a lack of direction. It was them that I decided
to write about he circumstances and people who made me what
I am today, the idea was not merely to pay tribute to some
individuals, or highlight certain aspect of life. What I
wanted to say was that no one; however poor; underprivileged
or small, need feel disheartened about life. Problems are
part of Life. Suffering is the essence of successes. As
come one said… |

God has not promised
Skies always blue
Folowers – strawn pathways,
All our life through
God has not promised
Sun without rain,
Jay without sorrow.
Peace without pain. |

The
purpose of your life is for greater than you own personal
fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness.
It's far greater than your family, your career, or even
your wildest dreams and ambitions. If you want to know why
you were placed on this planet you must begin with God. |
